Super Body Boot Camp – Burn it and Firm it are two 60 minute no-nonsense workouts designed to get you in the best shape of your life! Alternating between kickboxing, sports- conditioning, strength training and fun-to-do army drills. We had so much fun filming these particular DVDs, I’m sure this will inspire you to keep working out with us and achieve your goals.

Hot Mom’s of the World Unite!

Hot Mom’s HandbookThe long awaited book is now finally on shelves, it’s definitely a must for all Mothers. The beautiful Jessica Denay has done an outstanding job we’re all very proud of her!

Check out the Hot Moms Club and find out what all the buzz is all about and don’t forget to visit me on their site for inspirational articles under Health and Fitness.

Read the first chapter! “B.C.- Before Child”

The Hot Mom’s Handbook is the official guide to the “Hot Mom” movement and the ultimate resource for any mom who refuses to check her sense of style and sexuality at the white picket fence! This handbook tosses all those “mom” stereotypes right out the minivan window and reveals the eight secrets guaranteed to transform every mom into a Hot Mom!

With insights from Jessica Denay’s personal journey, this handbook holds lighthearted advice, stories, and quotes from unique and inspirational Hot Moms from all walks of life.

Celebrity Hot Mom contributors include: Lauren Holly, Kelly Preston, Cher, Niki Taylor, Holly Robinson Peete, Kathie Lee Gifford, Carnie Wilson, Meredith Brooks, and many more!

Hot Moms Handbook Reviews:

“A Nurturing, Uplifting Take on Contemporary Motherhood” (c) 2006 Christine Louise Hohlbaum

This book made me want to get up and dance!

Organically tapping into our own creativity is what Hot Moms are all about. Forget the Mommy Wars, the stereotypes and the cultural dissonance which disempowers our vision. The Hot Mom’s Handbook uplifts our maternal spirits, raises us above burned dinners and household chores to our higher selves, the people we’ve always been but have forgotten amidst the dirty laundry and mile-long list of commitments.

The book is divided into eight chapters with reflective questions, commitments and pages for journal-like entries at the end of each. It is reminiscent of Sarah Ban Breathnach’s Gratitude journals, but The Hot Mom’s Handbook has a tighter focus. It’s all about moms and how we can live more powerful lives.

My favorite line was from Chapter Six, “Every Mom has an Inner Siren”:

“Think you don’t have an ‘inner siren’? Every woman has one. She may be buried behind those clothes you just sniffed and pulled from the hamper, but I promise, she’s in there, and it’s time to let her loose!”

This book shares testimonials from astounding women whose insight into contemporary motherhood will leave you with a warm feeling. At times I laughed out loud. What a relief! I’m allowed time away from the kids, guilt free. It sounds simple, and it is. But you wouldn’t believe how much we mothers need to hear it to truly believe it. This book assures us moms that we are on the right path to reclaiming our rights as individuals.

After all, moms are the most creative people around. We create life. Thankfully, we have Hot Moms to remind us we create ourselves, and our attitudes, too.

The exercise video for women who don’t excercise.
Reviewer: Jennifer L. Richardson
I think I am fairly healthy, I walk to work everyday and I am not overweight but I would NEVER go to the gym. I don’t like to “workout” but I wanted my baby to be healthy. I picked this video after trying several from the library. I put it in just to see what it was like. The woman leading it was so friendly and encouraging that I thought “I could do that” and before I knew it I was no longer sitting on the couch watching but actually finishing the workout. I didn’t get all sweaty; there is no hoping around or kicking your legs in the air. It focuses mainly on stretching and toning, parts of it I still can’t do fully but I keep working on it. I felt very safe the whole time, never wobbly or like I might fall. I would highly recommend this to any pregnant women looking for a workout video.

Good variety, low impact workout
Reviewer: S. Winder (Farmington Hills, Michigan USA)
I bought this for my wife, who is a fan of Callanetics, pilates, yoga, etc. She enjoyed the workout, because it retains elements of her favorite exercises but modifies or omits the parts that would be difficult or detrimental during pregnancy.

During her first time watching the video, I heard her say “Wow, that feels really good” several times, even to some of the exercises that looked a little bit pointless to me. This is definitely tailored to the pregnant woman, but I found that I was able to see some benefit from most of the exercises as well (I should point out that I reserve exercise for special occasions).

I especially like the partner-assisted workout, as it gave me a chance to help my wife with some range-of-motion exercises. I also liked the relaxed atmosphere and home setting. It feels professionally done, but not sterile.

Current research now shows multiple medical benefits of exercise for the pregnant women and her fetus. I highly recommend the 3-in-1 Pregnancy System™ as a safe workout that will help women feel great when they are pregnant.

Howard Kaufman, MD.
U.S.C. Keck School of Medicine, Chief of Pelvic Floor Reconstruction
Research states that exercise is essential for the health of the soon to be mother and baby, the 3-in-1 Pregnancy System™ has great safe exercises to keep the core and especially the pelvic floor muscles strong. I believe regular core stabilization and flexibility training can dramatically decrease complications such as Incontinence after child birth, because of this I recommend the Pregnancy System to patients and friends.

Pamela Payne
MSN, RNC, OGNP
As an OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner, I encourage my pregnant patients to be active during their pregnancies, for their own health, and for the health of their baby. The 3-in-1 Pregnancy System™ provides an effective and, most importantly, safe workout for women before, during and after pregnancy. Tracey’s instructions and demonstrations of Pilates and Yoga exercise are clear and easy to follow, whether you are new to these routines or experienced in working out with Pilates, as I am. I feel comfortable in recommending the 3-in-1 Pregnancy System™ to my patients as an excellent addition to their pregnancy care.

Heather Jeffcoat
Doctorate of Physical Therapy
Tracey Mallett’s video is a fabulous way to maintain fitness during pregnancy. It is also a great way to resume exercise after delivery. The modifications she provides makes it suitable and safe for a wide range of fitness levels. Her emphasis on correcting postural changes that occur during pregnancy through specific strengthening and flexibility exercises can help ease back pain, a common complaint. I would recommend the 3-in-1 Pregnancy System™ to any women who wants to follow a safe exercise routine during her prenatal and postpartum months.

Tracey Michaud
Proud Mother of Two
I was having hip and lower back pain during my pregnancy, but then I started to do the 3-in-1 Pregnancy System™ with Pilates. These exercises strengthened my core which in turn helped to relieve pain. I was amazed on how strong I began to feel only after a few workouts. This new found strength helped me to cope with my ever changing body. It improved my posture and flexibility. I was able to continue with the DVD until the delivery of the baby. After giving birth with a caesarean delivery, I was surprised how great I felt. I swear it was from the core strength and overall conditioning I had developed from the Pregnancy System.

Tracey Mallett, fitness expert and trainer has many fitness articles with fitness tips on healthy diet, diet fitness, diet and exercise, diet and nutrition information:

Inspiring the next generation – We as Moms can be a great motivator to teach your children that to move the body and exercise is fun and exhilarating. This starts at young age; they watch and mimic you in everything that you do.

Excerpt: Obesity in children has tripled in the last twenty years, obese children are now likely to develop type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, upper respiratory problems and severe asthma. The increasing amount of fast food available and the decreased activity level of our children are creating a massive problem for the next generation. We live in a world of computer’s, motorized scooters, Nintendo’s, the internet and lastly the ipod.

Music for Motivation – I use Music to motivate people to exercise and reach their goals especially if the workout is a little challenging for them, somehow the music can dull the pain and give them energy to finish that particular task.

Excerpt: Music is a powerful influence in our lives. It is the backdrop to everybody’s life story. All of life’s biggest experiences are done to the sound of music. If you strung the songs all together, you would have your complete life story. Imagine what kind of emotions listening to that CD would bring up!

Pelvic Fitness – I contributed to this article which is a must to read if your Pregnant or just given birth. The article will give you some pelvic floor exercises to aid in child birth and speed the recovery process.

Excerpt: Keeping the pelvic-floor muscles strong can aid in birthing and allow for a much smoother recovery, says Tracey Mallett, fitness professional and creator of the 3-in-1 Pregnancy System Exercise DVD. “Regular activation of these muscles will keep them supple and flexible, decreasing the chance of tearing,” she adds.

Spring 2006 Newsletter – newsletter from ATP Specific Training and Tracey Mallett Fitness

Excerpt: What is the difference between Pilates on the mat and Pilates using equipment? What type of equipment is involved/required?
25 percent of Pilates is on the mat and the rest is on the specially designed apparatus such as the reformer, wunda chair, trapeze table, large barrel, small barrel, arm chair and small equipment the magic circle, ball and foam roller.

Pilates Thru Pregnancy – fitness article on Pilates before, during and after pregnancy

Excerpt: The benefits of Pilates’ method of movement therapy exercises for women thru pregnancy and post-partum is mostly misunderstood. Simply put, Pilates is a safe and effective approach to exercise for pregnant women to assist with breathing, body alignment and to recover body shape and tone after birth. I personally thank Pilates for preparing me for child birth and helping me get my midsection back to pre-pregnancy state after two children.

Healthy Food, Healthy Body – healthy diet and exercise

Excerpt: Imagine having a brand spanking new Porsche convertable (or whatever your dream car is) with leather interior, mag wheels and all the gadgets to keep 007 happy. Now imagine putting mud in the gas tank!

Slave to the Core – fitness article on toning the “core”

Excerpt: I had the misconception like most people that baby weight just melted off with child birth and breast feeding, boy was I wrong. I felt like I was stuck in someone else’s body and I couldn’t get out, I’m sure most of you can relate to this.

Fitness Tips for the New Year – fitness tips article

Excerpt: Make a hot date with your planner: Plan your weekly workouts in your diary. You’re more likely to keep to a routine it if you pre-plan the workouts rather than just doing them randomly.

Tracey Mallet, an internationally recognized name in the Fitness Industry uses her 15 years of experience to motivate and inspire women juggling work, life, children and husband.

Reaching out to women around the world desperate to nurture their own physical well being, Tracey appears on TV shows, teaches classes, and serves as a Fitness Consultant. Her advice has appeared in the Hot Moms Club Handbook , and she also regularly contributes to the fitness column of the Hot Moms Club online magazine.

Mallett has been featured in Shape, Fitness Magazine, Cooking Light, Fit Pregnancy, Diet and Fitness, Lo Carb, Women’s Health, Fit Pregnancy, Fit Yoga, ePregnancy, Pilates Style, BABY LA Parenting Publication and Baby Zone . Tracey has over 19 million viewers following workouts on Exercise TV, and is soon to be the fitness expert on BabyCenter.com.

Born in the small township of Bloxwich, England, Tracey’s love of movement began with ballet at the age of 3. An active perusal of dance and physical fitness continued into adulthood. She studied at London’s premier theatre school, Italia Conti (former alumni include Tracey Ulman and Naomi Campbell) where she was introduced to Pilates floor work, and graduated with a degree in Dance and Theatre Arts.

Tracey then went on to perform in musical theater shows, including Oliver, Scrooge and Grease, and numerous music videos. In 1989, she became a certified fitness instructor and taught dance and aerobics in London.

From 1993 – 1995, Tracey performed on NCL and Cunnard cruise ships. In 1994, while working on one of those cruise ships, she met her Hollywood-native husband Chris. The pair married in1996 and moved to South Pasadena, California, where Tracey continued a career in the fitness industry and her husband became a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Soon, Tracey became the popular Co-Host of “The Method Show” on Fox Fit TV, and starred in The Method’s best selling home exercise videos: “The Method Cardio Boot Camp,” “The Method 20 / 20 Cardio Kick, ” and “The Method Jab, Kick & Burn.”

In 2000, Tracey and her husband opened ATP Specific Training and Physical Therapy in South Pasadena. The acronym stands for Athletic Therapeutic Pilates (or as Tracey likes to say “Another Transformed Person!”). Physical therapy, Pilates, personal training, nutrition counseling and massage are offered by ATP’s 25 employees.

In 2001, Tracey gave birth to daughter, Amber. In 2003, son Ty joined the family. She took a four-year break from media projects to focus on her transition into motherhood before returning to work with renewed vigor.

Tracey leads her own work out segments on cable’s Exercise TV’s Exercise On Demand, viewed in 19 million households and hosts a new DR / infomercial “Crunchless Abs,”. Tracey also created “Renew You,” an innovative workout combining Pilates, ballet, Yoga, dance and strength training, due on the market in September 2006.

Tracey’s motivating attitude and versatile teaching style combines many fitness trends, keeping her on the cutting edge. Her latest DVD series, released worldwide in 2006, “Super Body Boot Camp: Burn It and Firm It” is a no-nonsense, no frills program integrating kickboxing, martial arts moves, strength training, sports conditioning, and Pilates, designed to get viewers into the best shape of their lives.

She recently set up her own production company called ATP Fitness Productions. Her first production is “3-In-1 Pregnancy System” in which she stars 28 weeks pregnant. It is the first DVD on the market to combining Pilates, Yoga and Strength Training for pre- and post-natal mothers. Endorsed by Shapes Fit Pregnancy, ePregnancy, Fit Yoga and Pilates Style.
